POWERCHINA-NE’s project of “Research and Application of Quality Technology Innovation in the World's First Million kW Six-cylinder Six-exhaust Steam Turbine Construction” was awarded the “Quality Technology Excellence Award” by China Association for Quality (CAQ) recently, marking its winning of “Quality Technology Award” for the first time and symbolizing its continuous strengthening of quality brand building, improvement of quality management, vigorous promotion of craftsmanship and technological innovation and application, and advancement in quality technology management and control capabilities in recent years.
CAQ Quality Technology Award, established in 2005, is the first science and technology award approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology and the National Science and Technology Awards Office in the field of quality technology in China. As the highest award that selects representative scientific and technological achievements in the field of China’s quality technology, it is selected annually, with strictly controlled number of awards, so as to promote the progress of quality technology in China and commend units and teams that have made outstanding contributions in the field.
