On April 14th, the1×1000MW Manjung 4 coal Fired Power Plant hasoperated steadily 720 hours and transferred to commercial operation, whichmeans the new milestone of company’s achievement in electric power constructionmarket of Southeast Asia.

The power plant is invested by TNB locating at 4'N near the Malacca, andis the first  million kilowatt unit inSoutheast Asia, and is also the first million kilowatt of single unit capacity contracted by Chinese company at abroad. The applicable standrads arefrom European, SPECO2 undertook the equipment installation of BOP area andcommissioning.

During works, manjung project department overcame difficultiesregarding  hot weather, language barrier,labor shortages, civil foundation transfer lag, more equipment defects, slow treatment andothers; with  scientific planning,reasonable arrangement, making full use of its advantages and seizing thefavorable opportunity, the project team carried out  labor competition of “the 100 days” andaccelearation measures to ensure the progress schedule, and for about30 months,all the milestones were completed successfully with efficient constructionprogress , grade quality and zero accident. During the stable operation, thesystems of BOP area were operated normally, the operation  index are all qualified without leakage,excellent engineering quality won the high appraise by the owner, generalcontractor and supervisor.
